About This Tool

Roll virtual dice with configurable sides (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100) and quantity. Uses cryptographically secure randomness for fair rolls. Perfect for tabletop RPGs, board games, probability experiments, and random number generation. View roll history and statistical summaries.

How to Use

  1. Select the die type (d6, d20, etc.) and number of dice to roll.
  2. Click Roll or press Space to roll the dice.
  3. View individual die results and the total sum.
  4. Check the roll history for past results and statistics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the dice rolls fair?
Yes. Each roll uses crypto.getRandomValues() for true random number generation. Every face has an equal probability — 1/6 for a d6, 1/20 for a d20, etc.
Can I roll multiple types of dice at once?
Yes. Configure multiple dice sets (e.g., 2d6 + 1d8) to roll them simultaneously. The total sum and individual results are shown for each die.
What is a d20?
A twenty-sided die (icosahedron) used in Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop RPGs. Results range from 1-20. A natural 20 is a critical success, and a natural 1 is a critical failure in most RPG systems.
What probability distributions do dice follow?
A single die follows a uniform distribution (equal probability per face). Multiple dice follow a bell curve — for 2d6, rolling 7 (6 combinations) is six times more likely than rolling 2 (1 combination).
